A small cave to stay in . Notice the two lines cutting across the rock face. They are made intentionally to avoid the rain water from flowing inside the cave . What a simple method !! 900x600 0005.jpg |
The walls of the fort 900x600 0006.jpg |
A close up of the wall. Notice the BIG and SMALL openings right at the top. The bigger ones are in an angle pointing to the ground and the smaller ones are pointed straight ahead. An intruder has no chance of escaping !! 900x600 0007.jpg |

The backside of the fort . It shows the pit dug up around the fort . Water used to be filled up and some deadly snakes were put inside to keep intruders at bay . This also acted as a Drinage Mechanism for the excess water. 900x600 0016.jpg |
Look at the shape on the top of the walls. This is specifically designed because this is the last wall of the fort at the back. This is made to distinguish it from the rest of the walls in appearance. 900x600 0017.jpg |

The Secret Chamber . This is located at the bottom of the cave where the rulers of the fort held secret discussions with the Saint . A very sad part is the walls are spoilt by the present generation by their " Modern Art " . We caught some college youths who were busy with their " Modern Arts " while we went inside . Our guide Mr.Narayanan reacted to this and had a word with them and made them realise their mistake . I urge the youths of today not to spoil the Ancient Places with their " Modern Art " , they can use the walls of their house to display their talents !!! 900x600 0029.jpg |
