A Panoramic View of the fort from On the way to Chitradurga thru the Golden Quadrilateral Sunflowers on the way Paddy Fields with the winged visitors The Park at the Entrance of the ChirtaDurga Fort A small cave to stay in . Notice the two lines cutting across the rock face. They are made intentionally to avoid the rain water from flowing inside the cave . What a simple method !! The bigger ones are in an angle pointing to the ground and the smaller ones are pointed straight ahead. An intruder has no chance of escaping !! One of the best of the seven Doors. Water used to be filled up and some deadly snakes were put inside to keep intruders at bay . This also acted as a Drinage Mechanism for the excess water. Look at the shape on the top of the walls. This is specifically designed because this is the last wall of the fort at the back. This is made to distinguish it from the rest of the walls in appearance. The Another Panoramic shot of the fort. This is located at the bottom of the cave where the rulers of the fort held secret discussions with the Saint . A very sad part is the walls are spoilt by the present generation by their A shivalinga inside the Cave.
